Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support – Year 6)
Location: Boscombe, BH1
Start Date: ASAP – for the remainder of the academic year
Days: 3 days per week
We are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our partner schools in Boscombe (BH1) for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant. This is a part-time role working 3 days per week, providing 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil for the rest of the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s final year of primary school, supporting both their academic progress and emotional wellbeing as they prepare for transition.
The Role:

Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with Special Educational Needs

Adapt learning activities to meet the pupil’s individual needs
-
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted support
-
Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in learning
-
Support social and emotional development throughout the school day
The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience supporting children with SEN (desirable)

Be patient, nurturing, and understanding

Be able to build positive, trusting relationships

Have strong communication and teamwork skills

Be reliable and committed to the role for the full academic year

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
