SEN Teaching Assistant – Part-Time Flexible Cover

Blandford Forum Area | September 2026 Start | £14.25 Per Hour

Teaching Personnel is currently expanding its pool of experienced SEN Teaching Assistants available for flexible cover assignments across multiple specialist provisions in the Blandford Forum area.

We support a range of SEN and SEMH settings, meaning successful candidates will have access to diverse opportunities while enjoying the flexibility that supply work provides.

These roles are particularly suited to individuals who can quickly adapt to unfamiliar environments and immediately contribute to positive pupil experiences.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support learners with additional educational needs.
  • Assist in delivering engaging learning activities.
  • Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Build constructive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
  • Follow individual education and support plans.
  • Maintain professional standards at all times.

 

What We're Seeking

  • Previous experience within specialist education.
  • Knowledge of SEND and SEMH support strategies.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent adaptability.
  • Confidence working independently.
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
