SEN Teaching Assistant (EYFS) – Blackburn
Hours: 9:00am – 1:00pm (Monday to Friday)
Location: Blackburn
We are seeking a caring, dedicated, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) with complex additional needs.
This rewarding role involves providing 1:1 support to help the child access learning, develop communication and social skills, and achieve their full potential in a nurturing school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored 1:1 support throughout the school morning.
- Support the child's learning, development, and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist with personal care, maintaining the child's dignity and comfort at all times.
- Implement strategies and interventions as directed by the class teacher and SENCO.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with school staff, parents, and other professionals where appropriate.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly those with complex needs.
- A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach.
- Confidence in providing personal care (training can be provided if required).
- Knowledge or experience of EYFS is desirable.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
