SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Doncaster)

Teaching Personnel are recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to work in mainstream primary schools across Doncaster, supporting pupils with additional needs.

This role is ideal for a compassionate, reliable individual who is confident supporting children academically, socially, and emotionally, and is comfortable providing personal care where required.

The Role:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis or in small groups within a mainstream classroom

  • Assisting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and learning difficulties

  • Supporting pupils with personal care needs in a respectful and dignified manner

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual support plans

  • Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience desirable)

  • Confident and comfortable providing personal care

  • A patient, caring, and resilient approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
