SEN Teacher / SEN Tutor – Maternity Cover 
Yeovil | Full-Time |  Immediate Start 

The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher or SEN Tutor for a full-time maternity cover role in a specialist college setting for learners aged 16 to 18.

Set within expansive countryside grounds, this provision supports young people with autism, additional learning needs, and complex behaviours as they transition into adulthood. Every day brings variety, challenge, and the chance to positively impact lives.

 

About the Role

You will deliver engaging, tailored learning experiences that empower students to build independence, confidence, and essential life skills.

Your day may include:

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons
  • Supporting learners with EHCPs and complex needs
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Working collaboratively with a skilled multidisciplinary team
  • Encouraging independence and real-world readiness

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status or strong SEN tutoring experience
  • A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
  • Calm, patient and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Creative and engaging teaching style

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
