We are currently working with a SEN Secondary school, looking for a SEN Teacher to work children in Key Stage 3 and 4.

The school has a very welcoming atmosphere and a dedicated SLT who aim to provide a calm and focused working environment for the staff and young people of the school.

Within this SEN Teacher role, you will:

  • Create lessons to engage learners with behavioural need
  • Create lessons aimed to support the young people both academically and socially.
  • Provide support for pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of education or behaviour plans
  • Establish trusted relationships with pupils and work with them on an individual need’s basis.
  • Promote the inclusion of all pupils in the classroom
  • Encourage pupils to interact in classroom learning and with their peers
  • Promote self confidence and set individual tailored goals and challenges
  • Have experience in care/ school-based settings

The school has a wonderful atmosphere with a supportive team behind it. The school has a diverse range of pupils from all backgrounds, including those with ASC, MLD and SEMH needs. You as a SEN Teacher would be well supported within school to ensure you are happy in your role and support the pupils on their educational journey.

The school is based in Oldham and is accessible by bus, road and tram.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
