An outstanding Multi Academy trust are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to start from September 2020.  Initially, the position will be part-time and for the first school term September- October 2020 ; however this could result in a permanent position for the right candidate. The trust runs across 2 sites based in Bolton. Sites cater for individuals between 4 - 19 with a Statement of SEN or an EHCP, on the autistic spectrum and/or have significant communication and interaction difficulties and social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH).

                                                                    

This role will involve working in co-operation with the classroom teachers to assure that all pupils have access to learning and are supported in achieving the best possible outcomes.. We would also welcome applications from individuals who can demonstrate a genuine passion in supporting pupils with SEN needs. Ideally the teaching assistant will have experience working within a special needs setting, however this is not essential as long as the teaching assistant can demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of SEN. The ideal teaching assistant will also have an in-depth understanding of crisis prevention tactics and know how to de-escalate situations.

The successful application will be:

• An experienced teaching assistant who is committed to assuring that all learners can achieve the best possible outcomes

• Be able to demonstrate a genuine passion commitment to catering for the needs of pupils with SEN

• Be able to establish and maintain working relationships with other staff, pupils, parents and the wider community

• Ideally Team-Teach trained (can be provided)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
