Job description
Are you a qualified teacher with QTS looking for a rewarding role where you can genuinely transform young people’s lives? A highly respected specialist post-16 education setting in Yeovil is seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to support learners aged 16–18 in a supportive and inspiring environment.
This well-established specialist college supports students with a range of complex Special Educational Needs, including: ASC, MLD and additional medical or communication needs.
Set within a beautiful rural environment with extensive outdoor space, the provision combines classroom learning with practical, therapeutic and nature-based activities, helping students build independence, confidence and life skills.
Key responsibilities include:

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

Supporting students working towards EHCP outcomes

Acting as a personal tutor for a small group of learners

Promoting life skills, resilience and independence

Working closely with support staff and specialist professionals
What We’re Looking For

QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
-
Interest or experience in SEN and autism support
-
Creative, patient and adaptable approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
