Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in the Wincanton area that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs by delivering engaging, tailored learning in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and be confident in adapting teaching strategies to ensure every child can achieve their full potential.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous or current in-depth experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- A sound understanding of a range of SEND, including adapting teaching to meet individual learning needs.
- Excellent behaviour management skills with a calm, patient and nurturing approach.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- A passion for creating an inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

- Paid to the Main Pay Scale (M1–M6), dependent on experience.

Teaching Personnel Vetting Process
As part of our safeguarding commitment, all applicants will be required to complete Teaching Personnel's compliance process before starting work. This includes:
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Two professional references covering recent employment.
- Right to Work checks.
- Verification of qualifications, including QTS.
- A comprehensive interview with a dedicated Teaching Personnel consultant.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
