Job description

We are seeking a passionate and qualified SEN Teacher to join a warm, child-centred primary setting supporting pupils aged 5 to 11. This is a full-time role with an immediate start, ideal for an educator who thrives on making a meaningful impact during the early stages of a child’s learning journey.

About the Pupils

You will be supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including:

  • Autism spectrum conditions

  • Social, emotional and mental health needs

  • Communication and interaction difficulties

Teaching is tailored, creative and holistic, focusing on both academic and personal development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons

  • Create a positive, structured and nurturing classroom environment

  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and learning development

  • Work collaboratively with support staff and external professionals


Essential Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Minimum 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN

  • A full UK driving licence is essential due to the school’s location

  • Patient, adaptable and resilient teaching approach

  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
