Job description
Teaching Personnel are working in Partnership with a SEN School in the NG12 area with the below vacancy;
SEND Teacher
Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only
Salary: £28,000 – £39,520
Location: Ruddington, Nottingham
Start Date: 13th April
We welcome applications from teachers with experience in PE, Humanities or vocational subject areas.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching allocated areas of the secondary curriculum to small bespoke class groups of up to six pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant. You will plan, prepare and deliver lessons that cater to the full range of abilities within the class.
- Plan and teach well-structured lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and schemes of work
- Assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned pupils, making accurate and productive use of assessment
- Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of pupils
- Set high standards that inspire, motivate and challenge pupils
- Promote good progress and positive outcomes
- Demonstrate secure subject and curriculum knowledge
- Participate in arrangements for preparing learners for external examinations
- Teach across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
- Adapt learning effectively to meet the needs of learners with SEND

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
