Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate teacher with QTS to join a well-established secondary setting in the Winchelsea area of Poole.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, supporting learners aged 16 to 18. The position is ideal for an educator who is passionate about inclusive teaching and committed to helping young people achieve both academically and personally.

The setting offers a positive, structured and professional atmosphere where learners are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a strong sense of achievement. Teaching approaches are flexible and learner-centred, ensuring every student is supported to progress.

 

Your Role

The working hours are 8.30am to 5pm. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-planned lessons that meet a variety of learning needs while maintaining high expectations.

  • Teaching students aged 16 to 18 across the secondary curriculum

  • Adapting lessons to support a range of abilities and learning styles

  • Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Creating a calm, inclusive and motivating learning environment

  • Working closely with colleagues to support positive student outcomes

 

Essential Criteria

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN needs

  • Demonstrate strong communication and classroom management skills

  • Show a flexible, patient and proactive teaching approach
