Teacher (SEND) – Full Time | Temp to Perm | Start ASAP
We are seeking a passionate and creative Teacher to join a specialist school supporting children and young people with additional needs. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity, working with younger pupils in a highly supportive and nurturing environment.
The school caters for students between the ages of 11-19 with a range of complex needs, offering small class sizes and a strong staff-to-student ratio, with every child supported by a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant. The setting is well-resourced, including outdoor learning spaces and an on-site allotment, encouraging hands-on, experiential learning.
The Role:
You will be responsible for delivering engaging, creative, and adaptable lessons tailored to meet individual learning needs. The school places a strong emphasis on wellbeing, with each day beginning with a dedicated mindfulness hour to support emotional regulation and readiness to learn.
You will work closely with a multidisciplinary therapy team on site, offering excellent opportunities for professional development and collaborative working. The school fosters a culture of continuous learning, openness to new ideas, and innovation in teaching practice.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- A positive, energetic, and open-minded approach
- Creativity and the ability to think outside the box when planning and delivering lessons
- A strong team player who values collaboration and shared responsibility
- Confidence in leading and directing support staff effectively
- A commitment to equality within the team, including willingness to support all aspects of student care, including personal care
- A proactive and reflective approach to behaviour management, aligned with preventative strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
