SEN Teacher

We are seeking an exceptional SEN Teacher with QTS to join a highly regarded specialist learning environment supporting young people aged 11 to 18.

This is a full-time role with an immediate start, offering secondary teaching opportunities within a setting that truly prioritises student wellbeing, structure and progress.

The provision supports students with severe autism and Asperger’s, delivering highly personalised education in a calm, purposeful and nurturing environment.

Working hours are typically 8.45am to 4.45pm, with some weekday end times varying.

Your Role

• Deliver engaging, adapted lessons across the secondary age range

• Support students with severe autism and Asperger’s to access learning

• Create a structured, safe and consistent classroom environment

• Work collaboratively with support staff and specialists

• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN

• Confident, calm and resilient teaching approach

• Driving licence and access to a vehicle due to the school’s location

• Commitment to full-time work and safeguarding standards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
