We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teacher for an immediate-start position at a specialist school in Ipswich, supporting students aged 5–16 with complex Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

The school is looking for a committed and experienced teacher who can provide high-quality, differentiated teaching while creating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environment for pupils with additional needs.

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Previous SEN teaching experience is essential
• Experience working with pupils with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) is highly desirable
• Confident supporting pupils with complex and additional needs
• Patient, adaptable and committed to inclusive education
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Able to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
• Full driving licence is essential
• Available for an immediate start

The Role

• Teaching students aged 5–16 with complex MLD and additional needs
• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social, emotional and personal development
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team
• Adapting teaching strategies and resources to meet a range of learning needs
• Monitoring and assessing pupil progress and contributing to individual education plans
• Creating a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment
• Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and maintaining high expectations
