Are you an enthusiastic, adaptable teacher who’s passionate about making a genuine difference in a specialist setting?
We’re working with a well‑established special school in Hillingdon seeking an experienced SEN Teacher (QTS essential) to join their dedicated multi‑disciplinary team. The school supports pupils aged 7–19 with moderate to severe learning difficulties, complex needs, autism, and speech, language & communication challenges.

You’ll be joining a nurturing, values‑led community offering both day and residential provision for children and young people with a broad range of additional needs. The school takes a holistic, wellbeing‑driven approach, providing a rich curriculum alongside strong therapeutic support to help every learner thrive.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to each learner’s cognitive, communication and sensory profile.
- Lead and support a class team to ensure a consistent, pupil‑centred approach throughout the day.
- Work closely with therapists and other professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily teaching.
- Use a range of communication tools including AAC, PECS and visual supports.
- Build trusted relationships with families and contribute to EHCP reviews and annual meetings.
What We’re Looking For
- QTS – essential
- Experience working with pupils with complex needs, MLD/SLD, ASC or significant communication needs
- Confidence using both high‑tech and low‑tech AAC systems
- Strong leadership within a classroom team
- A calm, resilient, and positive approach to behaviour support and emotional regulation

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
