SEN Teacher (Special Educational Needs) – Surrey
Start Date: September 2026 (or earlier)
Location: Surrey, UK
Salary: Competitive (MPS/UPS + SEN allowance, depending on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Supply, Temporary to Permanent or Permanent (part-time considered)

About the Role
We are seeking passionate and dedicated SEN Teachers to join our supportive and inclusive school community in Surrey. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to a range of SEN needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD).
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Maintain strong communication with parents/carers and contribute to review meetings.
  • Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (in a school or specialist setting).
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
