SEN Teacher
Location: Cardiff
Contract: Full-time - oppourtunity to move on to school contract
Start Date: As soon as possible
Salary: From £172.98 per day
 
Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a specalist provision based in Cardiff. As a result, we are looking for a committed and caring SEN Teacher to join our team to work within the provision that supports pupils with a range of additional learning needs, ranging in ages from 7-18. This is a rewarding role for someone who genuinely enjoys working with young people and wants to make a real difference in a specialist setting. It is a supportive school with a strong team ethos, and we’re keen to welcome someone who can bring patience, consistency and a positive attitude into the classroom.
 
As a SEN Teacher, you will:
  • Teach and support pupils with a range of SEN / ALN needs, adapting lessons to suit different learning styles
  • Create a calm and structured classroom environment where pupils feel safe and understood
  • Manage behaviour using positive, practical strategies
  • Work closely with LSAs, families and external professionals to support each pupil’s progress
  • Help pupils develop confidence, independence and communication skills

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified teacher with strong experience dealing with SEN
  • Has good understanding of autism and related needs
  • Can stay calm and confident in challenging situations
  • Bring a proactive approach to hands-on situations
  • Enjoys working as part of a team and building strong relationships

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
