We are actively seeking passionate, committed Early Career Teachers to join specialist SEN schools across Bury — and we want to hear from you.

We understand how competitive mainstream roles can be, and how hard it can feel to get your foot in the door. Our SEN schools are warm, supportive environments where ECTs thrive, grow and gain exceptional experience early in their careers.

What You’ll Do

  • Teach and support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, communication needs, sensory differences and developmental delays.
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning profiles.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that support emotional regulation, independence and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with experienced SENCOs, therapists and support staff to provide a consistent, inspiring learning environment.
  • Track progress against EHCP outcomes, early learning goals and individual targets.

Why This Role Is Ideal for New Teachers

  • A nurturing environment where you can gain confidence and build your teaching practice.
  • Smaller class sizes and a highly collaborative team.
  • Fantastic early career experience that strengthens future teaching prospects.
  • Immediate and upcoming vacancies — we are actively seeking ECTs.

Requirements

  • QTS or pending QTS (education graduates welcome).
  • A warm, patient and enthusiastic approach to teaching diverse learners.
  • A passion for inclusive education and child-centred practice.
  • Full availability Monday–Friday.

If you're ready to begin your teaching journey in a school that truly values and supports new teachers, apply today — we’re interviewing now and keen to welcome new ECTs.
