Job description

Part-Time SEN Teacher – Full Academic Year Contract

Location: Bulford
Contract: Part-time, full academic year
Pay: Paid to Scale M1–M6
Start: September 2026

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join  their resource base, based at a Primary School, on a part-time basis for the full academic year.

The resource base provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils who require respite and additional support before successfully reintegrating into mainstream education. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about making a real difference to the lives of children with additional needs.

The Role

As the SEN Teacher, you will take on full teaching responsibilities, including:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
  • Adapting learning to meet individual SEN and SEMH needs
  • Creating a calm, safe and nurturing learning environment
  • Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
  • Working closely with school staff, families and external professionals
  • Preparing pupils for a successful transition back into mainstream education
  • Completing marking, assessments and other responsibilities expected of a class teacher

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds QTS
  • Has previous teaching experience, ideally supporting pupils with SEN and/or SEMH
  • Is patient, resilient and adaptable
  • Has a strong understanding of behaviour and positive behaviour management strategies
  • Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Is passionate about inclusive education and helping every child achieve their potential
  • Is confident taking on full teaching responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
