Supporting pupils with additional needs takes patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for making a difference. We're currently working with a number of fantastic schools who are looking for a dedicated and committed SEN Teacher to support children and young people aged 3 - 19 with a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEN).

If you're passionate about helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and are looking for a role where you can truly make an impact, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

In these settings, you'll be encouraged to take ownership of your classroom, using your own initiative to adapt lessons and teaching approaches to meet the individual needs of your pupils. This is your chance to create a nurturing, engaging learning environment where every child has the opportunity to thrive.

As an SEN Teacher, you'll play a vital role in shaping the futures of young people who need support the most. The foundations laid by previous staff, combined with your own expertise, compassion, and commitment, will help provide pupils with the confidence, skills, and encouragement they need to succeed. Few teaching roles offer the same level of reward, fulfilment, and long-lasting impact as SEN education.

A day in the life as a teacher:

-          Teaching a range of abilities and needs ranging from KS 2, 3, 4 & 5

-          Delivering a tailored curriculum, encouraging confidence and redefining what traditional learning looks like

-          Mentoring for academic achievement, personal development, well-being, resilience and preparation for the next steps

-          Learners will likely have a history of emotional, social and behavioural difficulties, your job is to provide a small nurturing environment that allows for them and you to thrive

How you will stand out:

-          Experience working within SEN educational environments

-          Able to lead with confidence

-          A compassionate and empathetic educator

-          A dedication to safeguarding procedures and always following staff protocol

To be eligible for this role, you must be 18+ and either already have or be happy to apply for:

-          Either: Qualified Teaching Status (QTS) or equivalent

-          Education Workforce Council (EWC) registration

-          Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the update service

-          Level 2 Safeguarding training (provided)

-          At least two professional references covering a 24-month period
