The provisions

The provisions that Teaching Personnel work in partnership with range from primary to further education, supporting children and young adults with additional needs. Teachers with all different experience should apply as roles in all sectors within SEN are looking to hire additional teaching staff. Experience is required to apply for the roles as the pupils who you will be teaching / supporting all have complex additional needs and someone with experience in dealing with challenging situations, following safeguarding and behavioural plans, EHC plans and designing coping strategies for the pupils is essential for being a successful practitioner within one of these provisions. As a teacher within one of these provisions you will not be following the National Curriculum (2014) you will be supporting your pupils to meet their own specific targets and provide them with essential life skills, this is a main reason why having experience teaching within an SEN provision is essential.
