SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary | Bracknell Area
Full-Time | Term-Time Only | Permanent/Fixed-Term | Competitive Pay (Based on Experience)

We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Bracknell area. This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with children who have a range of special educational needs, supporting their learning and development both in and outside the classroom.
The Role

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties).

Assist the class teacher in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Implement personalised learning strategies and support behaviour management.

Monitor and record pupil progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.

Foster pupils’ confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
✅ The Ideal Candidate

Has experience working with children in a school or SEN setting (voluntary or paid).

Demonstrates a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Is calm, patient, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Is confident in supporting pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
Desirable:
-
Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification).

Experience with EHCPs and SEN interventions.
-
Knowledge or training in Makaton, PECS, Team Teach, or sensory support techniques.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
