SEN Support Assistant – Bury

About the Role
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will be working closely with pupils who have a variety of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and speech and language needs. Support may involve one-to-one work, small group interventions, or general classroom assistance, depending on your strengths and preferences. You’ll collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and fellow support staff to provide tailored, compassionate support in a positive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN in school or specialist settings
  • Confidence in managing behaviour and supporting emotional regulation
  • A calm, patient, and flexible approach to varied classroom situations
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and helping all learners thrive
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
