About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Assistant to join our team on a full-time temporary basis within an educational setting. This is a rewarding opportunity to support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop independence, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN
- Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
- Support students with a range of needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Help manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students with personal care where required
- Monitor and record student progress and provide feedback to staff
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred)
- A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
