We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-resourced specialist secondary school in Milton Keynes that supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of learning difficulties. The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to students with Autism and learning difficulties.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
  • Support students' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Work closely with Teaching Assistants, Therapists and Senior Leaders.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet a range of complex learning needs.
  • Contribute to EHCP targets and student progress reviews.
  • Support students with life skills, independence and personal development.

What We're Looking For

✔ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

✔ Previous experience working within a specialist SEN school setting

✔ Strong understanding of Autism and learning difficulties

✔ Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues

✔ A patient, resilient and nurturing approach

✔ Comfortable supporting personal care when required

✔ Available to work full-time (Monday-Friday)

✔ Open to a long-term role with the potential to become permanent
