SEN Learning Support Assistant
Salford | Full-Time | Immediate Start Available
Teaching Personnel are seeking a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in the Salford area. This full-time position offers an immediate start and the opportunity to support pupils with a range of complex SEN needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, severe learning difficulties (SLD), sensory needs, social communication challenges, and associated behavioural needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis.
- Help students access learning and engage in lessons.
- Promote positive behaviour, communication, and independence.
- Implement support strategies in line with EHCPs.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
- Monitor pupil progress and wellbeing.
Requirements
- Passion for supporting young people with additional needs.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, resilient, and adaptable approach.
- Previous experience in education, care, youth work, coaching, or support work is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
