SEN Learning Support Assistant – Full Time | September Start | Plymouth

Location: Plymouth
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full Time

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a dedicated and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist education setting from September.

This rewarding role involves supporting children with additional needs who access their education through an outreach programme, meaning you will be working across different locations. Due to the nature of the role, a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential.

The Role

  • Support children with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one and small group basis.
  • Work alongside teaching staff to deliver engaging and tailored learning activities.
  • Build positive relationships to encourage confidence, independence and progress.
  • Travel between outreach locations to support pupils accessing education in different settings.
  • Work Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is essential.
  • A caring, patient and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
