Locations: Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Farnborough, Hook and North Hampshire

Pay: £14.20 per hour
Hours: Full-time (term-time only)

 

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals to work as Special Needs Teaching Assistants in specialist schools across Hampshire.

In this role, you will support pupils with additional needs throughout the school day. Responsibilities may include supporting learning activities, promoting positive behaviour, assisting with daily routines, and working closely with teachers and support staff.

Available Settings

SEN Schools
Supporting pupils with autism, physical or learning disabilities, medical needs, or communication difficulties.

SEMH Schools
Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, including anxiety, trauma, or behavioural challenges.

 

Who Can Apply

We welcome applications from individuals with a caring, patient, and supportive approach. No formal qualifications or previous school experience are required.

This role may be suitable for:

Experience in childcare, care work, youth work, healthcare, or support roles is beneficial but not essential. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

 

Requirements

  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
