Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – SEN Support
Basildon & Surrounding Areas
£94 - £110 per day

We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and caring Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work within lovely primary schools across Basildon and surrounding areas. We have a variety of opportunities available for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and helping them thrive in the classroom.

Whether you are looking for full-time, part-time, permanent, temporary, long-term, short-term, or day-to-day cover, we have flexible roles to suit your availability and career goals.

The Role:

As an LSA, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to support pupils with additional needs, helping them access learning, build confidence, and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assist children with academic, social, and emotional development
  • Support classroom activities and behaviour management
  • Adapt learning resources where required
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or SEN is desirable but not essential
  • A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply and pay for one
  • Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
