SEN High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Bedford is seeking a SEN HLTA to join their team. This role will involve leading small group interventions, delivering targeted support sessions, and working closely with pupils requiring additional support across the school.
The school is part of a well-established multi-academy trust, offering excellent SEN support structures, collaborative working, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Your Responsibilities:
• Lead targeted SEN interventions across KS1 and KS2
• Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs
• Deliver structured learning activities to small groups
• Support pupils with emotional regulation and engagement
• Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
• Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Essential Job Requirements:
• Previous experience supporting children with SEND
• Experience leading interventions or small group sessions
• Strong behaviour management and communication skills
• Confident, proactive, and nurturing approach
• HLTA qualification or relevant experience desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
