SEN English Teacher Wanted – GU22, Woking, Surrey!
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Full-time (Monday to Friday, term-time only)
Location: GU22, Woking, Surrey


About the School:

We are working with a welcoming and supportive SEN school in the GU22 area that caters to students with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school prides itself on creating a nurturing, structured environment where students feel safe, understood and empowered to succeed.


About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN English Teacher to lead a small class within a specialist setting. You will deliver a personalised curriculum tailored to meet individual learning needs, supported daily by experienced teaching assistants.

Students may present with:
• Social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH)
• Behavioural or communication needs
• Additional learning or physical needs

✨ What You'll Be Doing:

✅ Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the school’s curriculum
✅ Adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of individual needs
✅ Monitor, assess and track student progress 
✅ Set clear, realistic learning goals 
✅ Foster a calm, consistent and supportive classroom environment 
✅ Work collaboratively with support staff, parents and external professionals


About You – Our Ideal Teacher:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience working within an SEN or specialist setting (preferred)
• Confident behaviour management and de-escalation skills
• Patient, resilient and committed to inclusive education 
• Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are welcome to apply
