SEN Class Teacher

Are you a passionate and dedicated teacher with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We are seeking an enthusiastic SEN Class Teacher to lead a small, nurturing group of primary-aged pupils within our mainstream school setting.

The Role
As our SEN Class Teacher, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP targets.
- Lead a small class of pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language difficulties and SEMH needs.
- Create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, the SENCO, parents and external professionals.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to support development.
- Promote independence, confidence and positive behaviour through a nurturing approach.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Has experience teaching children with SEND in either a specialist or mainstream setting.
- Understands a range of special educational needs and effective intervention strategies.
- Is patient, resilient and committed to inclusive education.
- Builds positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
- Has strong classroom management and communication skills.

MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
