SEN Behaviour Mentor
Location: Litchfield
Salary: £385 to £450 per week
Contact: Temporary to Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30am to 3:30pm)

Teaching Personnel are seeking a full-time behaviour Mentor (Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 15:30pm) to work in an outstanding specialist school based in Litchfield. The school offers 76 places for children aged 7 – 18 with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as autism and other associated conditions. Situated in a superb therapeutic setting, the school was awarded TES special needs school of the year in 2014. The school provides an individual learning plan which is tailored to meet the pupils needs and provides a curriculum is complimented by integral therapeutic activities delivered by the psychology and occupational therapy teams. The school has exceptional facilities such as food technology suites, music departments and a car mechanics department, with around 8 students per class.
The successful candidate will be required to support individuals 1:1 during their lessons. They must show confidence when handling events of challenging behaviour, ensuring students are able to progress and remain engaged in lessons.
Requirements:
- Experience with Special Educational Needs
- Experience working with children
- Experience with challenging behaviour
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Willing to complete a DBS or have a DBS which is already on the update service
- Have a passion for education.
- Positive ‘can do’ attitude
- Adaptable and versatile
- Eager to help vulnerable and young people to lice happy fulfilling lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
