Are you looking for a role in the education sector?

Do you want to gain experience working in a school before/while training to become a teacher?

One of our Outstanding Special Schools are currently looking for an Apprentice to join their ranks to train as future teacher. The school caters for pupils with severe, profound, and multiple learning difficulties whose ages range from three to nineteen years old.  Some pupils have additional difficulties which may include visual, hearing, physical, and medical, which means that SEN experienced candidates are needed for this roloe.

Each class has a class teacher, 3/4 teaching assistants, and approximately 8 pupils. The school is also equipped with a hydrotherapy pool, 3 sensory rooms, onsite Occupational and Physiotherapists as well as opportunities to engage in offsite Equine Therapy with students.

The ideal candidate will have:

-A DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one

-Experience working with individuals with PMLD and be willing to engage in manual handling and personal care

-A good knowledge and understanding of SEN

-Right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
