SEMH Tutor – Hayes
Location: Hayes, West London
Rate: £20–£30 per hour (depending on experience)
Part-time/flexible hours available
Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We're looking for a committed and compassionate SEMH Tutor to join our growing network of specialist educators in Hayes.
About the Role
As an SEMH Tutor, you will work 1:1 or in small groups with students who face barriers to learning due to anxiety, EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance), low confidence, or other SEMH-related challenges. You will assess individual learning needs and deliver tailored programmes in English and Maths, designed to re-engage learners and build both skills and self-belief.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a minimum of 3 years' experience as a private tutor
- Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Strong understanding of differentiated planning, assessment, and targeted intervention
- Ability to develop personalised learning plans in Maths and English
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach to tutoring
- Based in or able to travel to Hayes, West London

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
