SEMH Teaching Assistant

The Role
As a SEMH TA, you will:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support, both in and out of the classroom.
- Help pupils manage their emotions and behaviour using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
- Assist in delivering personalised learning activities designed by the class teacher.
- Build trusted relationships with pupils who may have experienced adversity or disrupted education.
- Promote a safe, structured and positive environment for learning.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children with SEMH needs or in a similar setting (desirable but not essential).
- Is calm, empathetic, and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
- Works well as part of a team and is open to learning and development.
- Is passionate about helping children overcome barriers and reach their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
