SEMH Teaching Assistant – Egham – Immediate Start
An opportunity has become available for a dedicated and experienced SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in Egham on a full-time basis (Monday - Friday), starting ASAP.

Small specialist SEMH setting with approximately 15–20 students

Only 2 classrooms, allowing for a close-knit and supportive environment

Students are supported with a range of needs including:

SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health)

Autism
-
ADHD
-
PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance)

The Role
-
Full-time position
-
Working hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm
-
One day per week staff are required to stay until 5:00pm for curriculum planning and staff meetings
-
Supporting students both academically and emotionally
-
Building strong, positive relationships with pupils who may display challenging behaviours
-
Working closely with teaching staff and pastoral teams to provide consistent support
Requirements
-
Previous SEN or SEMH experience is essential
-
Experience working with children with autism, ADHD, PDA, or behavioural needs is highly desirable

Strong behaviour management skills
-
Calm, resilient, and compassionate approach

Ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
