About the Role
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to join our specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) primary and secondary schools in Bramley, Guildford. These roles are ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
You will work closely with teachers and support staff to create a safe, structured, and nurturing learning environment where pupils can thrive both academically and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities

Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assist with the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons

Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

Support pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and therapists
-
Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
About You
-
Experience working with children or young people (SEMH experience desirable but not essential)

A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
-
Strong communication and teamwork skills
-
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
-
Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour

Willingness to learn and develop professionally

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
