We’re seeking caring, enthusiastic, and professional teachers to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs in local Reading schools.

What We’re Looking For
• Qualified teacher with QTS
• Reliable, empathetic, and committed
• Passionate about helping children achieve their potential
• Strong classroom management and teaching skills
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, deliver, and adapt lessons to meet pupils’ needs
• Support students’ academic and personal development
• Lead whole-class, small group, and 1:1 learning
• Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback
• Support wellbeing, social development, and SEN & SEMH needs
• Teach a broad curriculum as a cover teacher:

Year 8 English, Maths, and PSHE
-
Year 10/11 ASDAN and NCFE Business & Enterprise (usually delivered with TA support)

Manage an exceptionally challenging Year 8 group, including 3 pupils with significant speech and language needs, alongside 2–3 TAs in every lesson for support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
