Have you supported children with SEMH needs?

Teaching Personnel are currently looking for a calm role model to support children with SEMH and behaviour needs. The role is ideal for a person who has a calming manner and can read situations and diffuse them before anything arises. It is important that candidates are sympathetic and understand the needs that the children have. Pupils find it difficult to express how they feel and therefore, it is important that the candidates understand this. Being a role model and mentor is key to being successful in this role.

This role is to support in an SEN Provision in the East Grinstead area, working hours are 8:30-16-:30 Monday to Friday.

The ideal skills for this role are:

  • Being calm and positive with pupils.
  • Able to read and defuse situations.
  • Confident in dealing with behaviour.
  • Sympathetic and understanding of the needs of children.
  • A positive role model for pupils.

  • Experience working with children with SEND
  • Be a passionate, nurturing, and dedicated individual
  • Can provide a minimum of 2 references to cover the last 6 years of employment history
  • Have relevant qualifications relating to supporting teaching and learning or children and young people

We can offer you

Competitive rate of pay – £385 - £420 per week

Contract - Temporary to Permanent

Holiday – Half Terms, Bank Holidays
