SEMH / SEN Teacher – KS2/3 (Permanent) – Stoke

Location: Stoke on Trent
Pay: Competitive – dependent on experience
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Permanent (for the right candidate)

Are you a qualified teacher passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH or SEN needs?
Teaching Personnel are recruiting a dedicated SEMH/SEN Teacher for a school in Stoke on Trent, working with Key Stage 2 and 3 pupils. This role offers a permanent position for the right candidate, with a focus on behaviour management and supporting students’ mental health and wellbeing.

Your Role:

  • Plan and deliver lessons for KS2/3 pupils with SEMH/SEN needs

  • Implement behaviour strategies to support positive learning environments

  • Promote emotional wellbeing, resilience, and social skills

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups to meet individual pupil needs

  • Collaborate with support staff, SENCO, and leadership to deliver tailored learning experiences

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Experience working with SEMH, SEN, or pupils with complex behavioural/mental health needs

  • Confident managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive relationships

  • Patient, adaptable, and empathetic

  • Committed to creating a supportive, inclusive learning environment

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
