Full-Time SEMH Primary Teacher – Wisbech Area
Location: Wisbech

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Class Size: Very small groups (8–10 pupils)
Salary: £32,916–£51,048 per year (DOE)
Teaching Personnel are working with a well-established, DfE-registered independent day school in the Wisbech area that provides personalised, therapeutic education for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school supports up to 50 students aged 7–17, offering a nurturing environment designed to re-engage learners who have struggled in mainstream settings.
This position is for a full-time Primary Teacher working with Key Stage 1/2 pupils in a small SEMH classroom. You will also have the support of two full-time Teaching Assistants, ensuring a high ratio of adult support and enabling a truly individualised teaching approach.

- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for KS1/2 pupils

- Mark work, attend meetings, and contribute to the wider school community
- Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
Small groups of 8–10 students allow you to focus on personalised progress, therapeutic engagement, and meaningful academic growth.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience or a strong interest in supporting children with SEMH needs
- Excellent classroom management and a calm, empathetic approach
- Ability to tailor lessons to meet diverse needs
- A collaborative attitude and a commitment to inclusive, child-centred education

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
