Are you passionate about supporting children to thrive both emotionally and academically? We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and engaging junior school in Farnborough for a temporary position supporting a SEN child 1:1 with ASD.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional support to succeed in the classroom.
The Role:
As an LSA, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support the pupil with behavioural needs. You will help create a positive learning environment, promote appropriate behaviour, and provide tailored support both in and out of the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for an SEMH pupil
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
- Help develop social and emotional skills
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have experience working with SEND children, ideally in a school or support setting
- Be patient, calm, and resilient under pressure
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be passionate about supporting children’s development and wellbeing
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
