Job description
Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated Learning Support Assistants to work within a schools supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This is a rewarding role where you will make a positive impact on young people, who require help with emotional regulation, relationship building, and setting boundaries.
The Role

Work on a one-to-one and small group basis with pupils who have SEMH needs.

Support pupils with managing emotions, behaviour, and developing positive relationships.

Assist with adapting learning to meet individual needs.

Collaborate closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide a safe and supportive environment.
Requirements
-
Previous experience working with children or young adults who struggle with emotional regulation and building relationships is essential.

Ability to drive is highly desirable.

Must have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS certificate or be willing to apply for one.

Availability between 8:30–16:00 (hours may vary slightly day-to-day).

Passion, patience, and strong resilience when working with young people facing emotional challenges.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
