Secondary Teaching Assistant – Guildford
We are currently seeking enthusiastic, motivated, and supportive Secondary Teaching Assistants to join welcoming secondary schools in Guildford.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to support students through their secondary school journey.
The Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Work with students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Provide one-to-one and small group support where needed
- Assist students with varying learning needs and abilities
- Help maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
- Encourage student confidence, independence, and achievement
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with young people in a school, coaching, mentoring, or childcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or experience supporting SEN students is beneficial but not essential.
