Secondary Teachers & Cover Supervisors – Inspire Students Across Norwich & Norfolk
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their learning journey? Whether you’re an experienced secondary teacher or a confident cover supervisor, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re working with welcoming secondary schools across Norwich and the wider Norfolk area that value engaging teaching, inclusivity, and the positive impact strong role models can have in the classroom. Many of our schools support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, so your role will be vital in creating a supportive, structured environment where every student can succeed.
Please note: A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle are essential, as you’ll be travelling between school sites across Norwich and Norfolk.
Your Role Will Include:
- Delivering or supervising engaging, subject-focused lessons in line with the secondary curriculum.
- Supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEN and SEMH needs, to achieve their potential.
- Managing classroom behaviour effectively using positive and consistent strategies.
- Building strong, supportive relationships that help students feel safe, understood, and motivated.
- Working collaboratively with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and wider school staff.
- Creating an inclusive classroom environment that supports emotional wellbeing as well as academic progress.
We’re Looking for Individuals Who Are:
- Professional, adaptable, and confident across a range of secondary school settings.
- Experienced or interested in supporting students with SEN and SEMH needs.
- Skilled in behaviour management and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Patient, resilient, and empathetic in their approach.
- Committed to ongoing professional development.
- Able to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
