Secondary Science Teacher – Full-Time (Fixed Term)
Location: Cardiff (CF5)
Contract: 5 January 2026 – 17 July 2026 (Full Academic Year)

A warm, forward-thinking secondary school in the Cardiff CF5 area is seeking an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team for the 2025–2026 academic year. About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver engaging and inspiring lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, in line with the National Curriculum.

What You’ll Be Doing

✓ Deliver dynamic, well-structured science lessons that spark students’ curiosity.
✓ Plan, adapt, and differentiate lessons to support a diverse range of learners.
✓ Track, assess, and record student progress, helping each pupil achieve their potential.
✓ Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment with confident behaviour management.
✓ Work collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to whole-school development and student success.

What We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Science at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge across all three science disciplines.
• Confident classroom management and effective lesson-planning skills.
• A dedication to supporting every learner and raising attainment.
• A genuine passion for science education and the ability to inspire young minds.
• Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) or willingness to register.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one — support provided).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
