Job Title: Secondary Supply Teacher – Day-to-Day Roles
Location: Croydon & South London
Pay: £150–£170 per day
Contract Type: Flexible / Day-to-Day Supply
About the Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and adaptable Secondary Supply Teachers to support a range of schools with day-to-day cover. This flexible role is ideal for qualified teachers who enjoy variety in their work and the ability to choose when and where they work.
Schools regularly require general cover across a range of secondary subjects, so the ability to confidently manage a classroom and deliver pre-set work is essential. You may be asked to cover lessons in different subject areas throughout the school day, ensuring students remain engaged and on task.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver pre-prepared lessons and supervise students across a variety of secondary subjects

Provide general classroom cover where required across different departments

Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies

Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

Ensure students complete the work set by the school

Provide brief feedback to the school at the end of the day
Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
-
Experience teaching in a secondary school setting

Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
-
Flexibility and confidence covering different subjects when required

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
