Cover Supervisor - South Liverpool & Surrounding Areas

Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting confident, adaptable, and motivated Cover Supervisors to work across a number of secondary schools in South Liverpool, where demand for classroom support staff is particularly high. We are also supporting schools across wider Liverpool and surrounding areas, offering excellent opportunities for individuals looking to build a career within education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning by supervising classes during teacher absences and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere throughout the school day.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subject areas
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and expectations
  • Ensure students remain engaged, focused, and on task
  • Support pupils with their learning where appropriate
  • Maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment
  • Provide clear feedback to teaching staff regarding pupil engagement and behaviour
  • Build positive working relationships with students, teachers, and school leaders
  • Adapt confidently to different schools, year groups, and classroom settings

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Experience working with secondary-aged pupils or young people
  • A background in education, tutoring, coaching, youth work, mentoring, care work, or a similar role (desirable)
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills
  • Confidence leading a classroom independently
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across different school settings
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
